NavZ/GiveTeens20®®, in recognition of women in the field of STEM, will award one Gems of STEM $5,000 scholarship for the 2022-2023 school year.
If you have been involved with the juvenile justice system or in foster care and are interested in pursuing a career in STEM then this scholarship may be for you.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Female
- Current or previous involvement in Foster Care and/or Juvenile Justice system
- Pursuing a career in STEM (favoring Technology)
- High School Senior from the greater San Francisco Bay Area
- Graduating from High School in 2023
- GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (Senior Year or cumulative) and/or be in good academic standing
- Attending any post-secondary education (Trade school, certificate program, community college, university)
Eligible applicants will be contacted on or before June 2, 2023 for next steps including the following:
- 60-minute NavZ/GiveTeens20® career coaching presentation
- Clifton StrengthsFinderAssesment
- One-on-one career coaching
- Instructions for creating a personal statement video that introduces yourself, shares what you learned about your strengths, and how that will help you in a STEM field.
$5,000 Scholarship will be disbursed in the amount of $2,500 each year for 2 years as long as the recipient remains in a STEM field of study.
Completed applications must include all items on the Application Checklist. Submit the completed Application Packet by May 31, 2023 via email: info@giveteens20.org or by mail:
